A Challenge, a freebie and a Cute Critter!

Hello everyone!

How's the week going so far? Mine started off pretty good! Yesterday I went to the MOVIES!!! Yes, yes... not that big deal, right??? Well, for me it was... HUGE! LOL

I went with two friends... we all left the kids with the hubbies and went for a girls night out! Oh, man... that felt good! Last time I had been in a movie theater was last october when we were in Brazil. We didn't even know what we were going to watch... the whole point was going out and have some non-mommy fun!

 

We ended up watching Get Smart. At first I had my doubts about it, but it was totally worth seeing it! We laughed so hard! And the movie theater was pretty empty (what else did we expect on a monday evening, huh? lol) so we could really LOL, kwim?

 

And to top it all off, today is sunny and relatively warm... woohooooooo! After I'm done posting I'll get my kiddos and go for a walk.

Weekend Freebie!

An update, 2 Hints and a Freebie!

Is it wednesday already???

Seriously, what's happening with my time? I feel like every time I blink, there it goes another day...lol

I think I need some serious time management classes!!!

My kids are napping less and less everyday. And that means less mommy-in-the computer time...

I put them in bed anyway, so at least they (and I) can rest a little in the afternoon. Yesterday they absolutely refused to sleep (or calm down for that matter), so I grabbed a book and sat in the chair in their bedroom in the hopes that seeing me quiet and relaxed would get them in the mood to do the same (Yeah, right!!!lol).

And right away I found out that my little acrobat has mastered the art of going back and forth from one crib to the other. He now doesn't need pillows nor stuffed animals... he puts his foot on the top of the bars (man, kids are flexible!!!!), pushes himself up and then is just a matter of putting the other foot down on the other bed. No falling, no flipping over, nothing... there he was safe and sound on the other side!  lol

So far he has not attempted that towards the floor side... I guess he just wants to be with his sister! Cute, huh??? lol

A NEW KIT, a FREEBIE... and a naughty little boy!

Better late than never, huh? lol

I've been trying to come and post this for a few days already, but life insisted on getting in the way! No, nothing serious, just day by day stuff. :) You know... The Exciting Adventures of a SAHM, trying (with absolutely no success) to keep the house cleaned up, to control the kids, bla bla bla... LOL

On thursday I put the kids in bed for their afternoon nap and half an hour later I pass in front of their room on the way to the kitchen and when I look inside what do I see? A little girl peacefully sleeping and a very much awake and playful little boy. Nothing wrong with this picture, right? Except the fact that the little boy was in the WRONG crib!!! I just couldn't believe my eyes! But there he was... 

We have both cribs touching each other on the sides, but still... the bars are around their chest level! At that moment I was having a bunch of mixed feelings... I was scared thinking of all the accident possibilities now, but at the same time I wanted to start laughing because it was so darn cute seeing him in there, and of course, wondering how in the world did he manage that! Well... I got the answer to that a few minutes later. I put him back in his own bed and went out of the room and stayed watching him thru the crack of the door. He actually steps on the pillow and stuffed animals until he manages to put his belly on the fence, then it's just a matter throwing his head down and *FLIP* there he is!

I know it's dangerous, but I just couldn't help but think how clever that was!

Sooooo, I FINALLY have a new kit in the store! It's called No Piece of Cake. It's a 'Diet' kit... perfect for making pages of our before and afters, our goals and how we plan to get there, our healthier and lighter recipes... I tried to make the kit versatile, so it can also be used to scrap 'normal' pages...lol The possibilities are endless! ;)

Is it Monday already???

Good Morning!!!

How was the weekend?
Mine was very quiet and relaxed... so in other words: It was GREAT!!! lol
Exactly what we needed! :D

The fietscar (dunno the name in english, sorry! Maybe... bike car? lol) we ordered finally arrived! And we took it for a testdrive on saturday... Ooooh, it was so cool!

The kids LOVED it! So much fun!!!

YAY!!!

AWESOME NEWS!!!

Jen from Chaos Lounge asked me to stay as a permanent member of her CT! *doing a happy dance* I just love her work and feel very privileged to be a part of her team!

She has a new kit on the stores now... It's called Little Painted School House, it an awesome collab kit with Designs by Sassy. There are also QP's and Bragbook packs available. And check this out... 3 of the QP's were made by yours truly... yes, ME!!! How cool is that???

What's new?

Spring has 'officially' arrived here!

The weather has been so lovely the past few days... On the weekend we even managed to go out without any jacket at all (YAY)! I'm thrilled to have warm sunny days again!

We had a great day on saturday... We went to town carrying the kids in the buggys instead of the heavy double stroller, Lucas and Samantha were really glad to be without the sleeping bags and winter jackets (can't blame them, can we?).

We bought their first real shoes (we avoided 'restraining' their feet till it was actually needed) and Samantha wasn't really thrilled about that! The girl hate socks, let alone shoes... She only calmed down when the lady at the store gave them a cookie. The result? The shoe left the store already dirt with chocolate!!! LOL

After town we went to the park across the street from home and played with them a little... Not sure who enjoyed the swings the most... the kids or the parents... haha

Sunday was nice and easy... Just the way it's supposed to be!!! ;)

Ok, so HERE's what I actually set out to tell you...

This weekend I started playing around with photoshop trying to find my way into the designing world... I'm still going around blindly, not really sure where to begin, how to do stuff, searching for tutorials and trying to keep all the copyright stuff in order in my head. But I did come up with something and I'd like to share the results with you.

I'd loooooooove if you could give some feedback (constructive criticism is always welcome) so I know if I'm on the right track or not.

Baaaad Blogger!

Ok... not off to a very good start, huh?
An entire week without showing my face here! I guess I'm still not entirely used to the idea of being a blogger (is that excuse too lame? lol)

And actually... I'm cheating 'cause this post is just a quick note to say I'll be back soon (probably tomorrow) with some news!

Me a Blogger???

Well, well.... Me with a blog! Who would've thought???

I most certainly didn't!

I had diaries as I was growing up, but they were very private parts of me and no one was allowed near it. So the idea of having a blog was a bit 'weird' to me... But since I've moved to the Netherlands I've been toying with the idea of having some sort of page so I could share photos and facts of my daily life with my family and friends. That hasn't happened yet... I'm still sending everything via emails (seems even kinda old fashioned nowadays, huh? lol).

Now being a part of the Digiscrapping comunity I've come to find blogs a really fun way to keep in touch with old friends and making new ones. So here I am in this new 'venture'... Blogging!!!

So...I hope you bear with me and my overuse of exclamation points and ellipsis marks (had to chek in the dictionary what those were called in english... :P), my possible grammar/spelling mistakes (I try my best to avoid those, but english is not my mother language and they do happen, so please feel free to correct me anytime, ok?) and my sometimes neverending babbles.

I guess that's all for now...
