Halloween & Romance???

Wow, another month has gone by... And that means a new lyric challenge!!! YAY!!!

This month's lyrics was a bit tough for me to choose... Kim's anniversary had me in a romantic mood, but I also wanted to incorporate Halloween in the challenge...

Yeah, 'monsters' and romance.... great combination, huh? LOL  But I think I (sort of) managed it!

And so, this month's lyric is:

A Challenge, a freebie and a Cute Critter!

Hello everyone!

How's the week going so far? Mine started off pretty good! Yesterday I went to the MOVIES!!! Yes, yes... not that big deal, right??? Well, for me it was... HUGE! LOL

I went with two friends... we all left the kids with the hubbies and went for a girls night out! Oh, man... that felt good! Last time I had been in a movie theater was last october when we were in Brazil. We didn't even know what we were going to watch... the whole point was going out and have some non-mommy fun!

 

We ended up watching Get Smart. At first I had my doubts about it, but it was totally worth seeing it! We laughed so hard! And the movie theater was pretty empty (what else did we expect on a monday evening, huh? lol) so we could really LOL, kwim?

 

And to top it all off, today is sunny and relatively warm... woohooooooo! After I'm done posting I'll get my kiddos and go for a walk.

No? Well, let me introduce you to this lovely critter...

She was born in Johannesburg, South Africa and has set off on an adventure to travel the world! How? Well, it's simple, here's how it works: I will pass it on to TWO people, who in turn will pass it on to TWO people and we will see how many country’s, states etc Lyndies Catapiller can visit- You can read the RULES here.

She came here to the Netherlands from Kentucky, USA. Bunny sent here this way.

August...FINALLY!

July was not  a really good month and I'm glad it's over!

As usual, I'm late with posting... I wonder if I'll every manage to become a nice, consistent blogger... hmmmmm.... probably not! lol

So...new month means NEW CHALLENGES at DSO!   I'm hosting the Lyric Challenge and this month my song of choice is a tribute to women. Especially my DSO sisters who had a tough July and amazed me with their drive and strength. The song is:

My scrapping spree is still lingering around and I made a few more pages....

I really like the photo effect on this one, but the layout itself didn't turn out they way I wanted. But after being told by a few amazing scrappers that it was good, I decided to leave it as it is...

Here's one with a vintage feel to it... I usually don't scrap with this style but I really like the way it turned out! I used a photo Menno took when we were chatting on msn... me in Brazil and him here.

 

 

 

I used Mum's High Tea by Kiki Halbert, and a template by Fei Stuff.

 

 

 

And here's another one of Lucas. I just love his smile on this one... and yes, I was tickling him! lol

 

 

I really like this kit, it's so cheerful and pretty! It's called Que Sera Sera by Polka Dot Plum.

For the lo I also used a template by Shazbutt's Digi-Scrapz.
